Where can I return my trailer?
You can return your trailer to any residential street that allows parking within the city of Flagstaff. The spot must not prohibit parking and provide easy access for the next customer to pick it up. If you are unsure of where to return a trailer, you can always return it to the location where you picked it up from.
Can I reserve a trailer for a future date?
No. Your rental period will begin immediately following payment and will end when you return it. Quip has many trailers available in the regions we serve so you can rest assured that there will be a rental available at the time you need it.
How long are rental periods?
Quips are rented by the day or 24 hours on a subscription that renews automatically. Twenty-four hours after your previous charge, your rental will automatically renew for an additional day. These charges will continue following each 24 hours you keep your rental. Days are always rounded up so if you wish to rent a Quip for one day you should return it within 24 hours of the time you booked it, 48 hours for two days, 72 hours for three days, and so forth.
How do I find my trailer?
You can easily find your trailer in your confirmation email. Simply click the "Get Directions" link. Alternatively, you can find your Quip by visiting
rentquips.com/myquips. After logging in, you will be able to see all the Quips currently rented to you. Click on “Get Directions” for the Quip you would like to locate. This will open up a Google Maps window and allow you to enter your current location to take you right to your Quip.
Can I take my trailer outside of Arizona?
No. Quip is only able to serve customers in the State of Arizona at this time. Your trailer must remain within Arizona at all times.
Is a deposit required to rent a Quip?
Quip does not charge a deposit to rent a trailer however, we keep your credit card information on file in the event of damages or loss.
What is the weight capacity of my trailer?
The weight capacity varies as Quip offers many trailer models. You can find the weight capacity in the description of each trailer listing.
How do I unlock the padlock?
To unlock your padlock, follow the below instructions:
1. Hold the shackle and lock body together. If the shackle is pulled out of the lock body, the dial will be difficult to turn and the lock will not open.
2. Turn the dial to the right at least three times.
3. Stop on the first number in the combination.
4. Turn the dial to the left a full rotation so you go past the first number and stop on the second number in the combination.
5. Turn the dial to the right again, stopping on the final number the first time you come to it.
6. Pull the shackle away from the main part of the lock to open it.
7. Push the shackle back into the lock when you want to relock it. Turn the dial a few times. Pull down on the lock to make sure it's secure.
What happens if I am involved in an accident?
If you are involved in an accident the first thing you should do is get yourself and your passengers to a safe location. Next, you should contact your police department. In the event of an accident, we ask that you contact us for help at
rentquips.com/gps/gpshelp so we can assist you.
Does Quip provide insurance for rentals?
Quip does not provide or offer insurance of any kind for rentals. In the event of an accident you may be required to reimburse Quip for damages to equipment should you be found at fault. We recommend consulting with your auto insurer to determine whether rental trailers are covered under your policy.
How should I load my trailer?
Trailers should always be loaded with 60% of the cargo weight in the front of the trailer and 40% in the rear of the trailer. Cargo should be secured in place with tie-downs as items may shift or be ejected even during normal driving conditions. Refer to
